About the Job:

 

An opportunity has arisen for a Director of Talent to join one of our hotels in Dubai. The main objective of this role will be to drive Talent Management across all departments focusing on external Talent Acquisition as well as Internal Talent Development.

 

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Partner with the General Manager, Executive Leadership Committee and Director of Human Resources to gain alignment on talent and learning strategies. 
  • Operationally manage the execution of talent and learning strategies and assess the effectiveness.
  • Manage the full Talent Acquisition process across all departments using a variety of different sourcing channels.
  • Thoroughly and efficiently assess candidates applying for roles within Jumeirah.
  • Manage the candidate experience for all applicants in line with Jumeirah's employer value proposition.
  • Drive the development and retention of high caliber internal talent within Jumeirah.
  • Manage succession planning across the hotel to ensure a strong internal pipeline of talent.
  • Manage a Talent Bank of high caliber candidates for future openings within the hotel.
  • Drive company values and philosophy and ensure all initiatives are strategically linked to the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and Policies related to Talent Acquisition and Development. 

About You:

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:  

  • Extensive experience of talent acquisition in the luxury hospitality market, already knowing a strong network of candidates.
  • Proven track record in succession planning.
  • Has a clear understanding of roles within the luxury hospitality industry. 
  • Highly passionate and motivated by the search for great talent – is always on the lookout.
  • Can effectively headhunt and speak to candidates about joining Jumeirah
  • Can assess resumes and interview – not just following a script, but can intuitively pick great talent and has a track record of doing so.
  • Track record of maintaining a pool of potential talent, either internal or external, to fill specific roles, and can convince management about them.
